Music Symbols Quiz 1:
Ok, we are now ready to give you a test to see if you know what the musical symbols are and can recognize them. This is a must in music and really, it is not that hard. We have a total of 14 symbols here in this quiz and it covers quite a bit of material.
So let’s roll up our sleeves and get to the test. Most of the materials you need for this test is given in lessons on this site: Here are a few examples of what articles you should brush-up on:

Also, look back through the guitar lessons for the first few months. You will see in both the Tab Notes on the Score and in the Text of the lessons all of the items that are one this quiz. We will have another quiz soon, but we need to learn a few more symbols before we do this. In the meantime, brush up on this quiz, take it however many times you need to – to get a perfect score. That is what we are after.

5.) d. This is an Eighth Note – It gets 1/2 beat

How did you do?
If you got more than 5 wrong, you will need to read all the music articles over once again. If you got 1 or 2 wrong, just brush up on those symbols and run through the test once again. Again, you need to know these things as they are all very important when you are playing music.
